What is NuEra Tight and how can it help me?

NuEra Tight is a non-invasive, temperature-controlled, Radio Frequency (RF) treatment, which improves the appearance of skin laxity without downtime.

The powerful radio frequency waves heat the surface of the skin, as well as reaching deeper levels of the dermis, to dramatically tighten and smooth loose and sagging skin. The deep dermal heating enhances collagen production, which effectively smooths the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Unlike older radio frequency devices, the innovative Lumenis® NuEra Tight has the ability to precisely deliver heat to the desired depth within the tissue over a certain amount of time to ensure consistent and reliable results.

The APIC automatically increases the RF power to the target temperature, delivering precise heating to the skin’s surface with safe results. Who is this treatment ideal for?

The ideal client for radiofrequency is anyone who is beginning to see signs that denote a degradation in skin firmness. These clients would often benefit from combining radiofrequency with other advanced facial treatments, such as photo-rejuvenation, skin peels or skin micro-needling.

While radiofrequency alone will help to remodel tissue to lift, firm and tone the face, it does not address any surface issues on the skin, such as uneven skin tone, pigmentation or redness. This is why we would often recommend that radiofrequency coincides with other skin treatments, and simple but effective homecare products.

What happens during a NuEra Tight treatment?

Before we proceed with treatment, we will carry out a comprehensive consultation to determine the best treatment plan for you. This ensures we can create a truly personal, bespoke programme for your individual needs, to give the best possible results.

During treatment, slow, sweeping, upward circular movements are performed on the target area with a smooth, flat electrode. Your skin will feel warm as the device is used on that area of skin but unlike some other radio frequency treatments, our machine measures the temperature of your skin for complete safety and comfort.

After your treatment, you may notice some mild swelling and redness to the targeted area. This dissipates quickly and you may resume normal activities right away.

How many NuEra Tight Radio Frequency treatments will I need?

NuEra Tight promotes dramatic skin tightening and lifting when treatments are carried out regularly.

Even after your first treatment, you will likely notice the skin feels tighter and more lifted but for long-lasting and the most effective results you will require a course of treatments.

All energy based, bio-stimulative treatments naturally require a course of several sessions and will induce benefits gradually over some months.

Look at it like joining a gym - great results are rarely achieved in a single session!

Your individual needs will be discussed during your consultation but for most people, 6-12 treatments are required to ensure the best results.

The effects of radiofrequency treatments will continue to improve over the next few months as the skin produces new collagen. Results typically last for a minimum of six months, although with ongoing treatments, results are long-lasting.

Is the NuEra Tight Radio Frequency treatment right for me?

Lumenis® energy-based treatments are suitable for most people. However, treatment is not suitable if you are pregnant, have active infections or are heat sensitive; any cuts, piercings or tattoos must be avoided during treatment. Always ensure you are honest with regards to health and medical details, especially if you have a metal implant, such as a pacemaker, or have recently had injectable fillers.
